Nostalgie wint het deze week bij de herinneringen aan het Witte Dorp. Veel oud-bewoners herinneren zich hun onbezorgde jeugd, met veel buiten spelen op straat, zoals deze kinderen in 1979. ,,Ik mocht daar op zondag van mijn ouders een fietsje huren, een doortrappertje voor 5 cent. Toen was geluk nog heel gewoon.” Toch ging het dorp tegen de vlakte en was er een strijd tegen de sloop.
